WANT SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND FUN TO DO ON A SUNDAY...

TRY PETANQUE AT LERIDA ESTATE, LAKE GEORGE!!

(and learn about Lerida’s extensive French connections)

Why not come along to the “Beginners and Winners Tournament” on Sunday November 16

  • Designed to give new players a chance to team up with an expert, learn all the tricks and... maybe... win a prize!
  • Kick off at 11.00am for a short practice game (best arrive at 10.30am to meet and enjoy a relaxing coffee)
  • Lunch at 12.30pm with a tasting of Lerida museum wines
  • Competition (not too serious) starts straight after lunch
  • Equipment and lessons all with our compliments

Why not organise a group, remember we have 26 pistes to fill in our new facility. The latter has all the romance of the village setting in the South of France, but without the planes and airports!

Look forward to seeing you. For our location see www.leridaestate.com.

SOUTHERN TABLELANDS SOUND - WELCOME TO COLLECTOR GOES TRIPLE PLATINUM IN KABUL!

Lo-Range Music's mega epic production The Southern Tablelands Sound - Welcome to Collector is sweeping the streets in Kabul Afghanistan.

Snapped on film by Collector's own Kabul-based correspondent, the shots below show just a glimpse of the excitement and fervour generated by the album. So keen are the Aghanis to support the Oval Aid project by snapping up copies of album (admittedly at seasonally-adjusted prices), it is rumoured that they will send a brigand of AK-47 wielding party animals to liven up the opening of the rejuvenated oval (after we get more money). Now that is something really to look forward to!!

COLLECTOR OVAL AID PLACED IN JEOPARDY BY SHOCK FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

The Collector Oval Aid Project has hit a serious obstacle with the recent announcement that the Federal Government has abolished the Regional Partnerships program. However, the Oval Aid committee have overcome the initial disappointment and are now more determined than ever to see the Collector Oval restored - or, as sung in the THE OVAL REDEVELOPMENT SONG - make it 'OUR PLACE AGAIN'.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

We will be reaching out to the Collector Community and beyond for extra assistance to make the re-development of the oval. We have also realigned our objectives and moving the project to a two stage process, where the reshaping, resurfacing and irrigation of the oval will be completed as Stage 1, and Stage 2, which involves the upgrading of the amenities block and the provision of two tennis courts will be delayed and implemented separately.

You can buy a Southern Tablelands Sound CD right here for $20 bucks - all proceeds going to the Oval Redevelopment fund. HELP US GET BACK ON TRACK!!

This is a great project that will greatly improve the amenity of Collector and the opportunity for all of us, especially the kids, to have access to a quality sporting facility.
